I was tired of my paint bottles strewn all over the place and couldn’t find a paint bottle holder commercially made so with some scrap wood and an 1 1/2 wood bore tool I bought from Lowes for 6 bucks I made one myself.
The paint bottle holder is 16" long and each row is 2 3/4" wide using 3/4" particle board. Drill about a 1/2" deep for the bottle to sit in. Make sure to stagger the middle row like theater seats so you can see the paint in both the foreground and last row. Which means 8 in front, 7 in the middle and another 8 jars in back. Everything was glued together using clamps to hold the wood in place.
It was only a day project and I think worth the effort.
Great idea - if you only have a few bottles! I have a plastic drawer unit with three fairly large drawers, all filled with paint. I just open one of the drawers and select which one I want.
As previously mentioned - good idea!! I have too many colors for that, but I found that putting a dab of the color on the top of the lid is a good help to find what you need. My [2c]
