Check out my model railroad

Finally I have some pictures of my model railroad! Eric Hannsmann who is extremely knowledgble about area railroads took the pictures last year and they are now posted on the Mon Valley Model Railroad club website:

Since the pictures have been taken, considerable detailing and painting of the backdrops has been completed. The old football stadium is my next project. The railroad that it is based on is now a biketrail thru downtown Morgantown and many of the buildings are still intact. My philosophy has been to find and kitbash commercial structures to resemble the actual structures with plans to go back and redo them with more specific buildings when I have the time. The benchwork is somewhat different in that it is a true shelf using heavyduty shelf components, salvaged hollow core doors on top and a layer of blue foam over the joints. No legs and it was completed in a weekend. The only mistake that I really regret so far was not prewiring the frogs for polarity control - relying on the points alone to conduct electricity is a big mistake. [:(!] Anyone with easy ideas on how to correct this problem, let me know! It looks like it is going to be lots of work. I bought a new camera and I’ll post some more photos when I get the chance.

Let me know what you think. - Nevin
