I completed work on my HO scale oil and chemical loading facility. I took some pictures of the progress and posted them to my blog. www.smallrails.blogspot.com The facility is meant to be part of a larger complex (shown on the backdrop).
Let’s make your link active: www.smallrails.blogspot.com
I like it very much [8D][tup]. A facility to keep a switcher busy with picking up / dropping off one or two tank cars. Is this going to be a petroleum or ammonium type facility? What will the name of the company logo be on the big tanks?
My wife’s cousin is doing something similar on his new layout and is always looking for ideas.
High Greens [;)][tup]
It was a good read and gave me a few ideas.

Nice work. I like what you’ve done with the mirror. I also have plans for a good sized refinery and your work confirms some ideas I had as well as gave me some more. Nice refinery - Nice blog. Thanks for sharing.
To answer the question: The facility is a “generic” oil transfer station. Crude oil goes in, while crude oil also (as a simple transfer) also goes out, along with lubricants that some on-board industries use. Average traffic is about four tankers per day with an odd box car every great once-in-awhile to pick up some oil drum shipments.
Hit the follow button on your blog, and SWEET chemical facility! nicely done and that looks like a great industrial area
tshryock, I did find the Fun Foam sheets you used for your roads. I think they are going to work better than any of the other ideas I have read about so far.
