I finally got to the local wallyworld to get a few 1/87 autos. I went through three boxes of them and only found one that is pre 1950. That was a 1940 Ford pickup. Just like Henry himself said, “only available in black”. So I picked up two of them and I will weather both and perhaps change the color of one (or both) Black was not the only color in 1940!
Has ANYone found the new series (Honda Civic / Honda Accord / Maverick / Granada / 56 Ford pu / 40 Ford pu) in the US yet ???
Speculation has it this new series will only be available in Canada - so far, the only people finding them (myself included) are north of the border (?) Even the ones listed on ebay are from Canadian sellers.

They’re available from Walthers.
I’m aware of that … I wanted to know if anyone has found them in ANY US Walmarts ???
I’ve heard rumor that due to a distribution agreement with Walthers, US Walmarts won’t be carrying them. They ARE available at Canadian Walmarts for about half the price of Walthers.

According to their web site, Wal Mart is not listed as a dealer. But Toys R Us is. [:D]
Walthers is listed as a dealer, and distributor.

Along with the black, the 1940 Ford pick-ups are also being made in bright red.
I saw the black and the red '40 Ford PU’s at Riverdale Station this past weekend. They look good. I’ll have to get one or two if I can’t find them anywhere else.
I did go by Toys R Us today…no 1/87 Cherries, but lots of 1/64 and a few 1/43 scale cars there. Pretty nice rides, too.
