Apparently they will run the two Chinese QJ Steam engines that recently came to the USA soon. Tickets are on sale at that website.

I wish I had 158 extra bucks lying around- I’d treat us to the Homestead trip on the 15th. Oh well, taking the day off and waiting at Yocum will have to suffice…

At last , after lurking around the photo section I FINALLY get to see the inside of the end car “Cedar Rapids”, it’s even better looking from the inside than I imagined. What a treat it must have been ripping across country from this point of view. thanks.
Far too rich for my blood too. I’m going to settle for chasing the train accross Illinois on Saturday probably. Besides, I prefer pictures to riding a steam locomotive most of the time anyway (Although I do enjoy a ride down the main behind 261, she is one awesome locomotive!)
