Christmas Shopping

I don’t want to brag, but this past Saturday, the driver took me out to look for a diamond!

We found one, too - under a bridge at Oreopolis Nebraska - where the UP and BNSF lines cross.

Oreopolis is a signpost and thanks to Mr. Love’s directions (how apropos!), we found it just fine.

So if you are looking for something for the little woman, I suggest diamonds!

Marion has some very nice ones, too. And a tower from which to view them.[:)]

Congratulations, li’l sister! Have you ever been given a diamond like that before?

They sparkle at the right angle of the sun, too!

Just think of them as a big “X” with a lot of little "O"s going over them.

Oh, the places we could go along those lines…but won’t!

BC (trying to stay out of the doghouse!)

Brother Carl - think new blueprints for a bigger doghouse are in order!

SJ

If BossHen wants a bigger rolling pin for x-mas, I’m outta here. The dogs (alias “the boyz”) have already deeded-over their doghouse to me.[:D]

BC - Is this the replacement blueprints for your circa 1929 stuccoed (as in what are they hiding under the stucco that’s deficient?) perch and fishbowl?

Mookie I really do like your analogy (spelling) of diamonds(interlockings) to diamonds (rocks) nice nice nice…

For Christmas I would be happy with just seeing a diamond here in PA or a diamond in general… I’ve never ever seen one before and I don’t think PA has any due to all the hills, valleys, and mountain ranges here in this great state of Penn’s Woods.

…Oh yes…Pennsylvania has their share of diamonds…Can’t be specific but it’s a big state and some have to be located there…

Now Idaho, the gem state, probally has none.

Sarah - thank you!

I had such a good time looking for this “diamond”, I thought it would be nice if all the gentlemen on the forum took their ladies “shopping”. Who knows, someone may end up with a real “rock” out of the venture!

Mookie

Sarah, my wife suggests that the absence of diamonds in your area and the abundance of coal may have something to do with each other. Nothing that a few geological epochs wouldn’t cure.

I would be more than happy to take you diamond “shopping” if/when you visit this flatland country!

Of course, SJ, you have the same invitation. The Chicago area is known for its supply of high-grade diamonds. Railroads hate 'em, railfans love 'em!

I get to see one outside my window at work 8/5 (slightly less than 24/7).

There is one in Sandpoint.

[:-^]A kiss on the hand might be quite continental, but diamonds are a girl’s best friend!

Ah Gentlemen - no need to send me thank you notes from your spouses, girlfriends, etc.

Always happy to help out with Xmas ideas!

Mook

Sorry Mook, my wife will not be impressed with an diamond interlocking unless it is interlocking diamond rings.[:D]

There’s one on the New Castle Industrial Railroad in New Castle, PA…not sure what it is that it crosses, but it is definitely a diamond…

For 25 years I took my wife over 3 diamonds in the morning and 3 others in the afternoon. (West Toronto Junction)

I have my eye on a diamond at Colton,CA.
They say diamonds are a girl’s best friend,I guess on Christmas,I’m about to find out[;)][8].

How romantic.

Some men have found out that if you buy the mined one(s) first, the other may become more acceptable!

As well as a new flat screen DVD, a new truck, a new surround-sound stereo…
