Christmas Train in Front Bed......

Hey Howdy,

I decided to put a elevated simple oval track around this bush in our front flower bed for the Holidays. I cut out a roadbed from 1/2 inch plywood and painted it green. Leveled some stakes and put down the track. The train will start up on a timer with the lights just after dark. I am looking forward to seeing how it looks in the dark. Here are some pics:

Take care,

Regards,

Zak,

Nice job … boosts the holiday mood. Ahhh … to live in a place where one doesn’t have to worry about the freeze-thaw cycle, must be nice.

Hey Howdy Again,

Thanks Walt! What a difference a day makes!

We sure don’t have the severe cold like you guys in the heartland. But…people here in the Puget Sound Basin DO NOT know how to drive in this stuff.

Zak: So… How does it look in the dark? Is there enough ambiant illumination from the other decorations to see it?

Oop’s … so much for making assumptions! Still looks great, maybe even better in the snow.

Very cool! This gives me all sorts of ideas…

Hey HOwdy,

Thanks all for the nice replies to my front flower bed project. I will post some more pictures soon. We just got dumped on here in Seattle/Tacoma. More snow than I have seen here in a long time. I will get the track cleared and get som more pics in the next 24-48 hours or so.

Regards,

Zak
