Christopher Esposito’s compact O gauge layout

Great job Chris! That’s postwar Lionel at its best! Plenty of action and looks like one of their Classic Displays that were made for dealers. All the best, Dave

Thank you Dave & a big thanks to the CTT staff for helping me share my layout with all postwar Lionel fans!

Ooooooooooo! I absolutely LUV this layout. Superb! I’m a huge fan of the classic display layouts. Your layout perfectly captures the spirit and essence of Lionel’s display layouts. It’s magical.

I know Christopher’s layout from various sites on the Web. He has perfectly captured the look and feel of postwar Lionel. I am currently building a 5x9 Lionel Dealer Display Layout and hope it looks half as good as Christopher’s when I’m finished.

Captures the basics of operating Lionel Trains. Bigger L/O’ s don’t always capture this. Thankyou

BIG FAN!

Jon

very nice layout great scenery this takes me back to the 1950’s dept. stores post war layouts are the best

A nice compact o-guage layout.

Beautiful layout. So nice to hear the old Lionel whistle again. Nice walk in memory lane, Chris.

The layout is great, but the trains need to slow down for more realism.

Trains running to fast. layout is very well done.

The train speeds are perfect for this type of layout. If you ever saw a Lionel dealer display in action you would know the trains never travelled slow.
Chris has done a beautiful job on this layout.

On a layout like this the train speeds are just fine. Remember, it’s a toy train layout, and toy trains are supposed to operate at two speeds, fast and faster!
The only concession to realism I’d make here is to run the Trainmaster short hood forward. Real 'roads ran them that way (mostly) to keep diesel exhaust fumes out of the cab. The Trainmasters were “fumy” engines and made the cab crews nauseous if they were run long hood forward.
Great job Chris, your kids must love it!

Great job Christopher!!! Loved the video but it needed more Alco’s. :).

The layout shows a beautiful look of toy trains at Christmas time. Total action every were. This is all the things that children love at holiday time including the speed. well done

amazing how you put so much action in such a small space. You must have stopped the recording and changed engines. Good scenery too. Keep up the good work.
