No replies on my last post, but a lot of you read it. I went ahead and did the Air Wire 9000, Phoenix P5, and battery install anyway and it almost works perfect. Except for the chuff synchronization. As far as I can tell I have to move some or add two wires and re-solder to the dummy circuit board to make it work. Has anyone done this change yet ?. Help at this part of the installation would be most appreciated. Looking forward to getting the proper 4 beats per revolution.
Here is a link to a post containing some mods for the K
Here is the “big” link from Bachmann, that is supposed to explain all needed for the Phoenix and others…
Here you may have to dig a bit, but there is some good stuff towards the end
maybe some of this will be of some help…lots of work for plug and play-huh?

I put an AirWire and P5 on an Accucraft C-16. For syncronization, I put a reed switch on one of the tender trucks and connected that to the P5.
To new of a engine. For me I would call Ole C (Dave).
He is the only one I know of who (as I feel) mastered the dam thing.
