Chuggington in HO scale

Has anyone heard if a manufactor will make Chuggington in HO or any other scale?

What the heck is a “Chuggington”?

Mark,

I was puzzled myself, but, alas, Wikipedia knows the answer:

Chuggington is an international computer-animated television series for children produced by Ludorum plc and broadcast in 175 territories throughout the world including the BBC children’s channel CBeebies. Chuggington currently airs on the Disney Channel Disney Junior’s preschool block in the United States.

The series is set in the fictional town of Chuggington, and follows the adventures of three young trainee locomotives, (or “Trainees”), named Wilson, Brewster and Koko. Throughout each episode the Trainees learn the value of loyal friendship, telling the truth, listening carefully, persisting under adversity, completing tasks, resolving conflict without violence, and many similar important life values.

The town of Chuggington has a central area of large modern buildings; some of the scenes go out into countryside and to a rocky canyon. There are at least 3 railway tunnels under the town centre. Whether it’s freight cars loading or passenger cabs fueling up, there’s always something going on in Chuggington. And with a vast complex of platforms, repair sheds, roundhouses, and training yards, Chuggington offers unlimited destinations to explore. The backgrounds and scenery are all

would be nice if, someone did. do chuggington. my 2 year old granddaughter, loves,

that show.

So, how would you go about modeling this unique 2-level roundhouse?

Would the turntable both rotate and elevate?

There are small die cast toys available of Chuggington characters;

However, the Chuggington characters are mainly based on prototype vehicles, some of which are available in HO:

Wilson EMD F3 to F9

Brewster British Rail Class 55 "Deltic’ (OO on HO gauge)

Koko Eurostar Class 373 Power Car

Dunbar EMD GP38

Chatsworth Baldwin Sharknose RF16

Harrison EMD 1936 City of Denver cab unit (no HO model known to me)

Olwin LNER Class A4 4-6-2 (OO on HO gauge)

Old Puffer Pete Japanese C11 tank (?)

The smaller service vehicles are generally based on track maintenance and similar vehicles

Is it just me or does this remind you of Thomas the Tank Train. lol

Living the UK and having grandchildren(just when you think about retirment and having fun with our own railroads along come grandchidren). It is rumored in the model press here in UK that either Bachmann or Hornby are going to manufacture items from this show.Apparently they are waiting response to feedback from several countries but from what I can gather US is theb most important. If anyone wants further info or updates my email address is bmirner@aol.com ,I am happy to respond to any queries.

Doesn’t one of the major German carmakers have something like that? Except that theirs is a glass silo, with a lot more than two levels.

So, how do the producers get U.S. prototype rolling stock (1435mm gauge) and a JNR C11 (1067mm gauge) to operate on common track? Inquiring minds want to know.

(Answer - the same way a NYC Niagara, a PRR GG1 and an N&W J sometimes run through 1:80 scale Tomikawa with standard JNR passenger cars trailing behind their tenders…)

Chuck (Modeling Central Japan in September, 1964 - tongue in cheek)

Chuck - do you mean this?

It is the Volkswagen delivery facility in Wolfsburg/Germany. This is where your ne Volkswagen will be stored prior to pick up.

Well, the turntable does appear to be dual gauge…
