Cincinnati transit agency willing to operate streetcar

SORTA says bus service must not be affected by the the go-ahead for street cars, the (hoped for) go-ahead.
Street car service blended with and integrated into transit makes much more sense, saves more cents, than one that “does not affect bus service.”
From downtown air quality, freeing up land used for parking automobiles, permitting a higher concentration of businesses, commercial, retail, manufacturing, service in the served area…
Is SORTA contemplating building a sort of stand-alone amusement park ride, or a tool that’ll grease the gears of commerce and civility?

Tunnels are still there. Hardly lost. Just look for the doors on I-75. Behind closed doors, several groups are working on various plans to turn the tunnels into a tourist trap. Ohio is a fairly normal state once you get away from any large cities with names that begin with the third letter of the alphabet. Corn gets planted in corn fields. Beans are planted in bean fields. Cows eat hay. Amish operate horses. Combines force drivers from New Jersey into ditches. Yes, sounds normal to me.

When are they going to start using the “Lost Downtown Tunnels”?

SORTA-, KINDA-like they know what they are doing… Ohio be a weird place, methinks.

I’m a fan of any and all rail transportation, but those “streetcars” are butt-ugly!
