If history repeats, the NS will run the circus train from Chicago to Columbus, Oh tomorrow.
Can anyone confirm this? It normally runs on the NS NKP line from Chicago to Bellevue then hangs a right.
I have seen or heard it the past two years and would like to go watch/photograph it tomorrow.

Dispatcher for NS Chicago District just referred to the “Circus Train” running today, but gave no indication of when.
I will let you know when I hear more.

NS train L57 cleared Valparaiso, In at 1230pm with NS9772 and another GE unit with 60 loads, no empties.

I was listening to the local scanner feed and hear the dispatcher say they had permission to depart East Wayne (yard in Fort Wayne) for Bellevue (Ohio) “after watering the elephants and monkeys” at 1630 on 11/27/2006.

It was really a nice train. Good to see a different train on the NS for a change. All of those stack trains are a little boring.
