Does anyone know of a website that lists all the CMW vehicles ever made? I’ve been collecting them for a long time now, it would be nice to know all the make/model/colors produced.
I’d bet it’s not all of them, but if you go to the Walthers website, click on advanced search, put classic metal works in as the manufacturer, and select the option at the bottom that says include all and discontinued, you’ll come up with 498 items:
Great idea, yes that is all of them, plus the list contains the 1956 Dodge. This car was announced, pictures of pre-production models shown, but no car ever was released. I contacted Classic Metal Works at that time and was told they were having to negotiate with the new owners of Chrsyler.
If they would only re-release the 1950 Chevy’s straight back Fleetlines I would be one happy camper.
Thanks for the idea, I’ll try it. Three of the CMW Chevys, a maroon,lt. gray and green one just sold for $118 incl. shipx. A blue 41 Plymouth went for $77!
Guys none of the older CMW vehicles will be made again because CMW had to change factories. This is one of the factors driving up prices on the older ones. that and there very nice! Ive got a ‘few’ left on my must have list ![]()
Don, does it include the Ford woody staton wagon shown in this ‘in progress and projected’ photo? That is one of their older models.

Would that be this one: http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/221-30107 ?
I’ve been waiting and hoping for that 1956 Dodge, but got the impression that the new “owners” of MoPar had unrealistic expectations about the licensing royalties. Maybe we’ll never see it.
Did you not try the link?
The Woody is on the first page of the Walthers listing of the CMW vehicles
I really like the early Classic Metal Works models. Metal bodies and the hoods opened on all.
My favorite is probably the 1953 Ford Victoria. I have four of them; red, blue, light blue, and police. Not sure if there were any other colors available. Walthers doesn’t list the various color options for the first few CMW vehicles.
CMW vehicles look great and help set the era of a layout.
Matt, I believe you have all the '53 Victoria colors made. I like those too, I have the red and police versions…so far. My CMW collection is about 80% complete. Obtaining the last 20% is could get expensive.
I have the 1953 Ford Victoria’s in red, gray and black (not police version)
Thanks Don, I didnt know there was a black, non police '53 Vic. Ive never seen one.
