Hello,
I was thinking about creating a “replica” of the second place layout contest winner the “Classic Operator” from the July '08 issue of CTT.
In the write up it states:
“For normal single-direction operation, the single crossover at the upper right is not used, so that the train on the outer track continues on the outer track, and the train on the inner track continues on the inner track.”
After hours of studying the diagrams in the article, I can see no way the train on the outer track could possibley remain on the outer track. Unless I am missing something?
I am interested in building a 21’x11’ layout with atleast three independent, interconnecting loops with all of the postwar/prewar accessories. I would like two of the loops to run on command control and one conventional. So if anyone has and layout ideas I would be interested in having a look.
Thanks,
Rich
