It does not look like anywhere south of Stockton. Perhaps it is Oregon or the Sacramento Valley.

Yea Eric, Now that I think about it it probably is the northern end of the valley, otherwise 99 would be seen.

Chad, the second video is the “East Side Main” North of Roseville. I believe the train was heading North – I could not determine the precise area, but it was between vicinity of Chico and Redding.
