Like Classic Trains magazine, this forum is devoted to the 1920s–1970s “golden years of railroading.” Discussions span everything from steam locomotives to classic streamliners to early diesels.
Looks like I’m the first with a general post. I don’t see any subdivision into different topics, so there may be some refinement of presentation coming to avoid a bit of ‘chat-room effect’ with all newest posts displaying in chronological order.
Someone asked in Classic Trains, “How to get old track network at Pine Bluff”. I have an answer but have lost who the inquirer was. The answer is Sanborn Fire Maps. Someone inquired about Chicago RR trackage. He found it via Sanborn Fire Maps. Their maps cover pre/post 1900’s. endmrw0125252328
just so everyone knows I don’t really know a lot about train names, I just really adore trains for some reason. ![]()
ok
“Some reason” is as good a reason as any!
Ever since they changed the forum I can’t find anything! How do I make a new post? Where do I go to renew my subscription?? Why is there no direct link from the forums to the magazines???
