Cleanup continues on Minnesota derailment, Amtrak to detour
Must have been a pretty massive derailment to be taking this long to clean up and reopen, as the railroad is in flat wide open country for the most part at this point. Some details as to the number and type of cars derailed would be nice…maybe even a picture or two.
The article doesn’t say much, if indeed anything, about what may have been on the ground, just that it was a “manifest freight.” That could cover a whole lot of territory in terms of exactly what was in the consist and might be on the ground. One major point" There is/was no report of injuries, thank God!
