Clinic on scenery on the Pittsburgh & West Virginia RR, part three

I have watched the first three articles that Tom has done and they are really very interesting and very informative. I really like they way that Tom worked the plaster as it was drying to get the rock formation. Thanks Tom for these videos.

I very much like Tom’s work and the results, but was surprised by two casual comments. The first was when Tom said he went over the first rock outcropping with India ink and alcohol. The second was when he said it is dirt mixed with Durham water putty. I sure would like more information on both; when and why the ink application and why and how to mix the dirt and water putty.

Thanks Tom for sharing your talents. I watched all five segments and no I did not fall asleep. It looks like you have a large layout and are doing everything very well. Thanks again for sharing
