clip for p2k

tell me wher I can get the bottom clip to hold wheels and gears for a p2k GP7. Walthers says they have none.

I don’t know where to find that part but here is what I would do.

First, get the part number from the exploded view of the locomotive on the instruction sheet. Then Google that part number and see if you get any hits. If so, follow up on them.

Second, if that fails start calling some of the larger hobby shops around the country, such as Caboose Hobbies in Denver, Hiawatha Hobbies in Milwaukee, Allied Model Trains in Culver City oe The Original Whistle Stop in Pasadena. These and many others are listed in the Retail Directory section near the back of any Model Railroader magazine. Several of these shops indicate they do repairs so it seems likely they would have some spare parts inventory.

It is the same as an Athearn BB plastic sideframe GP truck. That should make it a lot easier to find…used trucks are all over eBay.
