Has anyone actually seen the latest auto release from Classic Metal Works the 1950 Dodge?
The Nov. Issue of Model Railroader contained the CMW ad advising the autos were now here?
I have checked a number of on-line hobby shops and other than “advance ordering” there are non available. The CMW site indicates they should be available.
I am looking forward to obtaining a number of these to add to the vehicles on my layout.
I have most all the CMW HO vehicles “pre-1960” and find them of high quality - especially for the money. I confess I’m kind of surprised that they are putting out '50 Dodges - as opposed to early '50s Pontiacs, Olds, or Fords or even Buicks. In any case, I suspect their '50 Dodge will be a somewhat better runner than the prototype! Just kidding Al Bundy!!!
Now if we can only convince them to do some ‘post-1990’ stuff - I think the latest model car they did so far is the 1978 Impala, correct?
So many nice ‘vintage’ car models have come out over the past decade that I just gave up and am building a wall-hanging display box to show off the CMW and Ricko and Atlas etc. stuff pre-1970; post 1970 will go on the layout, except whenever I feel like modeling a classic car show in a parking lot (gotta find a DJ figure to put under a canopy tent for that) [:P]
At long last the 1950 Dodge cars arrived at MB Klien. I ordered some for the layout, will be glad to see more of a balance of 1950’s vehicles on the layout.
