I wonder if they’ll try to profit from it like the BNSF with their NARS program.

Seems like most railroads still like to do their own in-house training. So are those spending thousands on college type railroading courses wasting their money?

Nothing can ever replace the old heads showing you out in the field. Inhouse is the best.
