Ha ha…I vote CP even though I do railfan the CN…
I like the underdog, so I will go with CP.
on what basis? They are both top notch outfits. CP is perhaps more ‘romantic’, but CN is bigger – and has the distinction of being the only railroad in North America which serves all three major coastlines (Pacific, Atlantic, and Gulf)… Do you prefer Friday afternoon or Tim’s coffee?
I’m not a big fan of CPR, because of what they did to the E&N over the years; and the CNR hired me when the CPR rejected me twice. I have to say, of the two, I like the CN more.
Gotta go CN. They’re the only trains I can watch! I don’t count WSOR because they’re pretty rare around here. At least I can see some -9’s in service!

i like CP. they’ve been nicer than CN was. if CN donates one of their WC SD45s to the Illinois museum, i’ll like them more. but i just gotta go with CP. multimarks rule, and they dont even alter any of the locomotives that belong to railroads they bought out. i didnt even know the SOO was gone until i read about it. so CP has been one of my favs. and i hope they grow bigger
i feel bad for them having to fix all of milwaukee road’s track though
