Hard to swallow seeing CNW green and gold being covered over with the colors of a entirely soulless corporation like CN.
Kinda reminds me of a stray dog with its dark, floppy ears laying down[:)]

Wow…seriously? They own it, it’s theirs to do with as they choose.
Better to see the unit getting a new lease on life, smiling to yourself because you know what it “once was” than to see it in your razor blade package six months from now. But that’s just me.
What’s the problem?? I enjoy seeing former EL units still in service (especially the SDP45’s) no matter what colors they’re wearing, be it Helm, UP or whoever.
As opposed to being part of the Borg(UP), an Entirely soulless corporation.
You will be assimilated your unique routes will be integrated into our own
It will be refurbished and repainted by the CN from the look of those markings. That little CN is just to identify the new owner. UP could have repainted and upgraded, them, but UP then got over 1000 SD70Ms.

Better to be repainted, and used than to be turned into razor blades; THEN disposed of.[2c]
Still tough to swallow as a CNW fan. CN has gobbled up and obliterated nearly all of the character of RRing in my part of the world. Very little about CN to get excited about in my humble opinion.
Everything is becoming very uniform on the Class 1 Railroads now.
These CNW DASH 8s used to be run-through power on GTW trains in MICHIGAN.
