Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me find a walthers dumper that has not been asembled, we need one for the club I belong to, were trying to putin a baloon track to dump coal, I understand that Walthers discontinued them, but if you know of one please let me know, that would be great.
Im sure we will pay a fair amount for it.
Try eBay. I’ve found some really old, out of production stuff there. Right now, a search for “walthers coal dumper” will find one.
I’ve got a number of the old Mantua clamshell door operating hopper cars. I’ll be running live-load coal with them once I get my layout a bit further along.
There are some on Ebay as we speak. Be prepared, they usually go for around $80 to $100!
