Hi everyone! My FIL has a lionel train set, only missing the coal tender. That’s all I know. Which coal tender is the best to get? There are so many? 1689, 1682, pre-war, post-war! O series… i have no idea! Help please!
What is the locomotives number? With that information someone could identify which tender or tenders went with it.
Well seeing he asked this question twice I wonder if he called Roger and got his answer as he isn’t answering us. maybe he needs to get the number off the engine so needs grandfather to dig it out.
Can’t help without the engine number. Prewar used several different ways to connect engine to tender. Postwar not so much. Most any tender will hook to a Postwar engine.
Yea sorry, didn’t realize it had posted the first time so I reposted it. I was trying NOT to let him know i was getting it but i guess i’m going to have to see how easy it is for the MIL to see if she can find it without him knowing. So we are going on the search for the locomotive!
