Can anyone tell me where I can buy code 83 and code 100 n.s.rail? I have e-mailed several manufacturers, but they all tell me they only sell complete track. I am re building my Sandy Southern H.O. pike, and want to build my own turn-outs, and hand lay most of the track. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked with Micro Engineering? I believe they sell rail separately. I don’t see a web site listed in their ad, but the phone number listed is 636-349-1112.
Hope this helps,

Walthers catalogue shows rail being available from both Atlas and MicroEngineering. This means you can order it either from your LHS or Walthers’ directly.
Check out www.trainworld.com
Here’s the direct link to Atlas tracks
www.internettrains.com carries Atlas and Model Power brands…they are reasonably priced if you buy it by the 100 section case…Chuck
Bob,
You might want to try Fast Tracks. Here’s the link to Micro Engineering rail and spikes at their Web site:

Hope this helps. You may find the Fast Track jigs useful.

I want to thank all who answered my request for rail. I talked directly to Atlas and their reply was they only sell complete track. I’ll try “Fast Tracks” and Micro Engineering. The LHS in my area, Salt Lake City, only carry complete track. Again thanks for your reply.

I found that it was cheaper to buy the code 83 flex track and strip the plastic ties off than buy the individual rail. You might want to check this out.

A friend of mine here in Sierra Vista, Arizona has a couple of tubes of Code 100 nickel silver rail left over from constructing his layout, and he said he is willing to part with some of it. Give me a phone number or e-mail address if you’re interested, and I will pass them along to him.
