I want to add a crossing and ordered one from Walthers… except I am using code 83(?) track and it is a code 100.
Will the two work together or should I cancel the order and use one that is code 83??

Either way works. You can join code 83 and code 100 rail with ordinary rail joiners and perhaps a little brass shim under the code 83 side. Solder the joints and it will be bulletproof. Paint the sides of the rail and ballast the track and it will blend right in.
Or if you have the time, reorder the code 83 crossing from Walthers.
Thanks David !

There are railjoiners that have a verticle offset that will mate cd 100 to cd 83.
Cool…
Thanks !
You can also slide one end of the joiner onto the code 100 track, flatten the other end of the joiner with pliers, and solder the code 83 to the TOP of the joiner. - Works like a charm.
