I use 91% alcohol all the time and I was using it to strip a friend of mine’s hopper car and it did melt the car…literally…it was a vintage HO scale Lionel car. I have proof.
I prefer the term “FRED” instead of “RED” which reminds me of a truck driver’s nickname. The “FRED” could be interesting, but I don’t find it useful for me as it limits that car to being the last car in the train and that car cannot be dropped in normal operation. I suppose that this item could be useful if it is placed on the last car of a through freight or on a car which is to be delivered at the end of the line. I really like the "screw grabber! As always, very informative, Cody.
I completely detest straight slot screws. That being said, what is a good all purpose Phillips head screw for coupler/draft gear [and a manufacturer]? I’m partial to the Kadee 158 couplers if that makes any difference. Thanks and great job as always.
Hi Cody,
My layout is in the modern era also, and I would like to know, do Ring engineering have the EOTD in Nscale???
