Cody’s Workshop: Episode 10 - end of train device
Great video as always! Thanks Cody. I model the 1960’s so all my trains have a caboose. How about a video explaining how to add lighted markers (for DCC operation) on a caboose?
Great stuff Cody. Any ideas as to how you could switch Fred to a different car during an operating session? Say you were running a turn and the last car on the train was not the same. So, the desktop is gone and now you’re on tablet? 21’st century is here!!
Yay I got mentioned! Thanks for the answer Cody!
Cody, another great video. However, my question/comment is basically the same as Mr. Purcell’s once you install the EOT device how do you move it to another car. That car would have to be at the end of any train of which it was a part.
Nice video Cody, how about doing a FRED on an N scale car?
Are end of train devises available for N scale models. If so where? Thanks Cody keep up you great shows.
Cody
Just as a point of info for us modelers, it would be nice if you mentioned what period rail cars and engines were used. I model the steam to diesel era but I know I have cars that are too late for this timeframe.
Hi Cody – I thought I recalled a segment where you cut off the stock grab irons from the ladder on a covered hopper and used some wire to replace them to make them look more realistic. It helped make the car look more prototypical by eliminating thick profile that you see on lower-end freight/hopper cars. Can you refresh my memory with where I can find that segment? Thanks!
Where can I buy the Speciality Performance Products Plastic Adhesion Promoter (SXA 1050) you Jed on the locomotive handrails?
