Cody’s Workshop: Episode 4 - clear coat finish
Hi, Cody. I have a question about your preparation before applying the satin coat. When you wiped down the model, was the cloth dry, or moistened with something?
Thanks!
Very nice video. Cody is an excellent modeler and I appreciate his “take” on various model processes. Really appreciated the info about the pony clamp - I’m going to look at one the next time I’m at the hardware store.
Would love to see more of the MR&T locos when able. How about some N Scale projects on Cody’s Workshop? Loco detailing/weathering, freight cars, etc??
Cody, can’t wait to see the Turtle Creek Heritage unit finished, it looks pretty sharp! I used the dark lettering from the set to letter a grain car in both HO & N and gave to friends who model those cars. I still have the white lettering for a Bowser X31F ‘Turtle Roof’ boxcar, (what else!).
Hi Cody, I hear you describing the use of isopropal alcohol as a thinner or mixing agent in 90 and 70 percent values. What is used to dillute Isopropal alcohol and what are the uses for each dillution values? I’ve only seen it on the pharmacy shelf as “isopropal alcohol”.Thanks. I’m new at it and could use your help in clarifying this for me.
Cody,
Nice painting tips!
How can we purchase the MR Magazine logo shop aprons like you use? David’s tan one is great looking and useful.
Thanks,
Mark
Cody, love all your video productions. I too wonder if your MR items such as the MR apron, hats, shirts, etc. should be available for purchase.
Hi Cody,
Your answer on replacing the Kato wheel set was very helpful. I was wondering if you can make a video showing in detail how to take an Athearn Genesis F3 apart. I and many other modelers, have to replace the wheels to . resolve the problem with poor electrical contact. I have the exploded view but to see how it is done without breaking any parts will be very helpful.
Thank you for your contribution to making this hobby manageable and fun.
Moe
