Cody’s Workshop Episode 6 - rolled roofing

Thanks Cody!

Another great video! Did you fix the tape showing through the roof paper with drybrushing and more paint, or did you just leave it as is, Cody?
Thank you for sharing. Great job!

another good cody

Especially enjoyed the discussion about roll roofing material. You did a very nice job with the structure and integrating it into the scene.

Excellent Cody! You really do a great job in explaining every thing.

I always enjoy all of your videos. It’s great to have a job you love!

Enjoying MR video plus very much. I’d be interested in learning Cody’ technique for painting the ends of diesel steps in a different color than the step color

Great Video there Cody. A lot of great pointers and ideas, keep up the good work!

Ran into the same problem with Code 100 Atlas track and Peco Joiners. All the local stores were out of Atlas rail jointers, so I made do by making a tool to be able to use the Peco.
Took a piece of 1x2 wood about 6" long (handle - could use 1" round dowel instead) rounded the edges, screwed on a piece of 16 gauge copper sheet about 3/4" by 2 inch on end of wood, then soldered a section of Atlas rail on the copper. Rail extended past the copper about 3/4 inch. Tapered the end of the rail so the Peco joiners would start, then pressed them on leaving about 1/16". Used that 1/16" to grip the joiner and pull it off with needle point pliers. Flip it around and do the same the opposite direction. They will now fit the Peco turnouts and Atlas rail.

Cody, I really enjoy MR Video Plus. My question is on your modules, you show the end plates where the modules connect and on those end plates you have some type of alignment pin. Who make these pins and where can I get them.
Thanks and keep up the great work.

Cody,

I really enjoy all of your videos and find them very helpful. I am entering the hobby late in life and am in the process of building my first N-scale layout larger than a 4X8 sheet of plywood. my question is about Peco Insulfrog turnouts (medium radius #6). I am using Peco flex track and have quite a few places where the turrnouts are closely bunched together. I am unsure of how many plastic ties I can remove on the turnout in order to properly seat the rail joiners on both the turnout and track before soldering. Can you please provide some advice on this? Also can these turnouts be joined to one another without using an intermediate short piece of flextrack to connect them together?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Always enjoyCody in the workshop or office. Keep up the good job guys.

Just wanting to wish the MR & MR video plus staff a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I enjoy all the episodes that I view, and was wonderinf if (or when) you will be adding some scratch building projects to step-by-step, or other sections.
