Morning…

3" of snohio here…pulled one of our US Army females off a Jersey barrier this morning on the NJTP…so, I’ve been up.

Had job interview today, looks good so far. Yes…today! I was only 7 minuets late during the snowfall.

Jeff - I do…and hopefully your sugar comes back and you’ll feel better today…!

Who is the new guy? Oh, HEY OL’ TIMER!!!

Hey RT…Good to see you too…

LAZ - NICE score!

OK off to prep for dinner tonight. Have to clear the driveway…yada yada yada

Be safe!

Rich

61 today and raining. Rain expected to stop this afternoon. Santa Anna wind starting next Tue will make it warm up to 80.

I had a cold all last week and the flu the week before. I think I am getting over the cold so all well.

When it rains here there are many wrecks on the freeways.

Good morning all, a little light rain this morning but tapering off now. Didn’t amount to much.

Got a progress report this morning about construction on the bridge over the freeway in Arcadia, California for the Gold Line light rail track which is heading our way. Bridge is supposed to be done by the middle of this year. Tracks won’t reach near our neighborhood until 2014. Can’t figure why it takes that long to lay 10 miles of track on an existing (former Santa Fe) right of way. The Central Pacific layed 10 miles of track in one day back in 1869.

Chief, nice work on the box!

later,

Ray

FIFE,

They are purrrrrfect. I charged up battery last nite and ran them a few times around layout. WOW they sure are nice. Now I have the opened domed observation car, got it with the ABA. Now my hunt is on at YORK for the rest of the 5 car set. Don’t know if I want anymore then that? Yes I too saw the 1:1 NS Execuitive train just outside the bar I go to. It was in 2008 during the fall in the heat of the election for OBAMA it went up here past Millersburg. Heard the horn and said that doesn’t sound right for freight. Got up and looked outside window and saw an AB unit with 2 cars in tow heading west. Don’t know who was on them but it definitly was someeone that was a big shot.

LAZ, I thought you already had a set. You got me a set of NS F units. These different?

Haven’t caught up on my sleep any for the fact that my nephew has been rattling the windows all around the loop all day. I do feel somewhat better though. I got some work done on the Athearn blue box F7 chassis. I was right about it having a cracked axle gear. Front axle, rear truck, the gear was cracked all the way through. I pulled the wheel set and replaced it with a wheel set from an old blue box Alco PA2. The only difference is the new wheel set has sintered iron wheels while the other three wheel sets have nickel silver wheels.

Great day here in North Central Illinois

Cold with snow cover but lots of sun. [:)]

Went to get the grocery stores today, I hate it. Oh well… [*-)]

When we got home the wife and I went for a Gator ride in the wood just before dark. Saw a lot of deer and only got stuck once, she had to push but we got out. Ha Ha. [(-D]

I have to admit that the Gator has been one of the best things I got when we got this place. Sandra and I go for a ride and solve the worlds problems, or at least ours. [;)]

Jeffery, we care, take it easy we all have bad days. Cheer up man. We care. Post a picture. [^o)]

RT , it may be a good thing we have two more weeks of freedom. [swg]

V8 Dennis , get better soon. How can you get sick in that weather??? [*-)]

Laz, Good job on getting the Chief’s attention. Is NS one of those southern SHORT LINES??? [:)]

Later all have a good night and God Bless, [angel]

Kev.

Laz, good for you on the NS executive set find. I like the MTH model too but settled for the WBB A-B-B-A set. No sound but they run and look great.

Jeffrey, don’t be so hard on yourself. We do notice when one of us is having a bad time. Hope you are feeling better soon. I look forward to seeing what you have done with your trains each day.

I ran some trains for a little while today and managed to throw another rubber tire off of an MTH Alco PA unit. That particular unit seems to shed them more than others. Might just put some Bull Frog Snot on it. Getting tired of taking the engine apart to change a tire.

later,

Ray

Laz…When did you start collecting short line railroads from the South? You need to get you some real railroad equipment such as CSX or BNSF. [(-D]

Nice score, Laz! Feel better, SJ! Went to Chuck E. Cheese with the youngest today. He loves the place and apart from birthdays, we avoid it like the plague. So he had fun. And I survived. Then I had a sudden urge to clean the teen’s room - whilst he’s away this weekend. Good excuse to see that everything’s Ok. Finally rested and ran some trains. Running more with the youngest tonight. [:D]

Sunday: Candlestick Park…Rain…Breezy…Just another day at the office for Eli?..We’ll see!

Turning Yankee cold but NO snow. Still raining off and on. Went to Niece’s second birthday party. Yes, spoiled.

Later.

Go Jints!

Ray

Nice spring weather here, in the latter half of January. Lawns are greening up, even the daffodils are blooming.

Good Evening

21 now. A little warmer tomorrow.

The couch and TV were my day, mostly couch though. Banilla is waiting if we can find a warm place to eat it…S.J.

Time for me to call it a night. See y’all tomorrow.

Hope you feel better, SJ and Jeff! Laz - SCORE! Chief - good work! Bet that steak tasted great after all that work! Doug M - watch those PILEUPS, you’ll have to change back to your No Accidents in [0] Days sign!

Today started slow, but then we all went out to get our hair cut, son and I played a couple games together and watched some tv shows, and just watched the original Thomas Crown Affair movie. New CTT showed up and it looks like a good one to me.

TROOPER! How are you OT? Been worried about you.

Had a nice chat with RT yesterday by phone. Glad you are doing okay, bro.

TARDIS is ready, so let’s get moving boys!

Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR…

It is a cold and icy 28 degrees. Going up to 48 today with rain tonite.

Today is an easy day. A few chores and then some football games to watch on TV. Not much else new here.

Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.

Y’all have a great Sunday.

Chuck

Good morning. It’s 63 with dense fog. The high will be 76 and there’s a 20% chance of thunderstorms throughout the day. Rain chance will increase to 30% after dark.

No particular plans for today as I’m still sore. I got the cracked gear issue with the Athearn blue box F7 resolved yesterday. I still need to resolve the poor pickup issue. It improved somewhat yesterday after I changed the one wheel set so I’m reasonably confident my original evaluation of the problem is correct. Cleaning the bottom of the trucks and outer contact surfaces of the bearings with a pipe cleaner and some Krud Kutter should do the job nicely.

Morning all. Church on TV. Got to get ready to go to Town Hall early afternoon. Rolesville Birthday Party at 2. Got to dress up for the occassion. I have to do all the introductions and 90% of the history and etc. [%-)]

Yankee cold today and misty rain. 60’s tomorrow and rainy. Up and down and backup again.

Need fair weather so I can move things out of the “Box”.

Later.
