Hunting news. Fred shot a buck yesterday AM after I sent him to the canal stand. Actually shot him by moonlight. A few minutes before legal shooting time. [:-^] It was real bright with clear skies, cold and moon was high. I was in the woods at 5:30 and could see to shoot then too. No hunting today [last day of season] as light rain.

PS: yesterday was the first time this winter we had mud holes that the water was frozen. Unbelievable.

Finally got my license after 2 years of difficulty in doing so. And thankfully, I decided not to stay up until midnight last night…

Watched the Rose Parade on TV this morning and saw a flyover by a B-2 Bomber. It flew over the parade in Pasadena and continued East. We saw it fly right over my house. Wow!
Got my ham and blackeyed peas ready to go today. They say they’re lucky. I don’t know but I’m not taking any chances. Just wish I had some water ground cornbread to go with it.

Finally found the car type of my MTH RPO car with the broken truck and the car number from an old catalog. Will call MTH tomorrow.

GEE TANKs for all da Birtday wishes!!! Didn’t get anyting wit flanged wheels yet. But gonna take a ride to BARRYs one of these days in the not to distant future. Thinking of getting a operating forklift but one never knows.
Been out with the Flintlock on Thursday and friday and had 6 doe come up to me about 30 yards and needed the one big doe to take a half a step for a good killing shot but was snorted at by the other ones and they ran away. Then on friday at the same time as thursday at 4:25 another 4 doe came down about 50 yards but were on other side of thicket and only have the one shot and can’t shoot through that stuff so let them go. Didn’t go the last two days doing husband duties and such but going again tomorrow. We have until the 21st with the Flintlock here so going to bid my time and wait for the best shot I can take, also looking for the big buck I saw during archery season. Oh well its lots o fun but this week suppose to get cold.

We do not know yet on SWMBO will be coming to York yet. That is something we will determine probably about a month out and depends on her work load from Tax season. We will let youz guzs know.
