Coffee Pot #11 NOVEMBER 2012 SIX years [April 1 is Anniv.] and going strong and its for all to chat. Plenty of coffee and sweet ice tea for all. Come and join us and chat. GRITS for the Yankees

Good morning all,

Hard to believe that November is here already. The damage from Sandy is looking worse every day as more is revealed. Prayers for all those folks who were hard hit. If this is a forecast of things to come if global warming is in fact a factor, we will probably have to build dikes around N.Y. Hope not.

Thinking about Cal Stewart this coming week end but my heart is not in it. A lot of the friends I shared it with over the years have either passed on or moved away. Jury is still out on wheather I will go or not.

Did not have too many Halloweeners last night but gave out most of the candy. Have a little left for the house. Neighbor next door and his whole family were in costume on the way to party last night. He was decked out as a convict with striped pants and shirt. Looked pretty authentic.

David Letterman, on Tuesday night told a story about his dog killing a deer. Must be a pretty big dog or a small deer. He has mentioned the dog before as being hard to train.

Went for early walk this morning and had to wear long pants and winter shirt for the first time this Fall as temps were in the 50’s. Went to 8:30AM mass for All Saints Day and back home for omlett breakfast.

Have a good day,

Ray

Back from the morning duty call. Went to town and got the van inspected. From there went to pay on my loan, get gas and buy groceries.

Speaking of groceries, Ezra Johnson bought his wife a new grocery getter. Traffic jams shouldn’t be a problem.

UP, UP AND OVER!

PAT

Pat Glad it helped.

Evening all not a lot going on. Drop off car so they could install ( at there cost) the receiver to the key-less entry so I can get into the car and unlock the doors from a distance. Not much else is going on. Off tomorrow so relaxing tonight and hope to catch the tardis later.

SJ I could just see you sitting on the porch dipping ice cream into trick or treat bags

Aloha! Happy November! Had a nice Halloween - took the boy around - then gave out candy. Plenty left for me… It was sunny but cold. Then a nice TARDIS ride with SJ and Brutus. Today was busy helping the bride reorganize the youngest’ room whilst he was in school, met with a few guys to encourage their job search. Mom stil without power in CT, sister working from home in Brooklyn; blocks-long lines for buses.

November 1st, Got up to 54 degrees around 4:00PM

Paid bills, got gas, $3.349

72" 3 point hitch mower is stored away with the leaf sweeper and 48" rider mower. 700# counter weight is installed on the John Deere and plow is set up to the quick connect bulkhead for the loader. Cleaned up the ash pile from all of the leaves that I had to burn. Blew the water out of the hose reels and stored them in the cold side of the shed.

Picked up the ZW transformer from Ken Koehler, looks good, I will give it a test run in a bit.

Brent, great picture, Glad you could post it, she is a doll.

RT and DougM, I will try to hit the Tardis tonight. Not sure if I can make it or not.

Chief, Any luck with the hunt??? [^o)]

Prayers for all in need and those who were in the way of Sandy, WOW my heart goes out to them. [angel]

Later

That’s a good price! Paid $3.50 a gallon (regular) for mine today. $37.34, a little over ten and a half gallons.

Jeffery, I filled everything up today. You just got to know the price is going to go up on the 7th. [#dots]

Well I have just run the new power supply ZW off jumpers for 1.5 hours. Works great. Now I am ready as far as power for the addition. [Y] Anybody looking for a CW80?

Kev,

That ZW and LW really cleaned up nice. [tup] What Ken charged you is reasonable as well. My former LHS charged me $92 to overhaul one ZW.[:|] That “overhaul” consisted of one roller, one binding post, and two diodes.[:(!] After that, I learned how to overhaul ZWs on my own. I did two others and corrected the shoddy work of the LHS on #1.

OUTSTANDING!!! [Y][:D]

Great Eeyore costume!

Time for me to call it a night. See y’all tomorrow.

Brent,

Here is Tinkerbell, 25 month old now. It goes soooooo fast.

10 more months and here is where you will be. [:O]

…46 degrees and still cloudy.

This will be my 6th post, I think I’m beginning to get the hang of it now. Nothing good on TV tonight. Will wait for the thingy crew with banilla ready to go…S.J.

Take after her Grandmother. Surely not her Granddad. [:-^]

Wow - November! How did that happen? Nice chat last night - also found an mp3 for the theme to the Ivor cartoons, might buy it as a ringtone for my phone [:P] Was just thinking the other day - will Lionel ever bring out those docksiders again but with built in tmcc? They can put it in Thomas now? That would be a great upgrade. I know someone made an add-on board a while ago, but it’s no longer available and apparently it was very difficult to install correctly. Char still has a cough, so she is going to call the doctor tomorrow about that. TARDIS is ready and we have left-over chocolate icecream that SJ didn’t hand out last night [tup]

Good Evnin’ Y’all From Leafless 51 Degrees Cape Ann Taxachusetts,

Sandy blew the snot out of the trees, leaves mostly gone except for a few resistant stragglers. …don’t know where all them suckers went but they ain’t in my yard. The cherry tree leaves are still green, haven’t fallen yet. And the neighbor’s gigantic willow still carries most of its foliage as well. Other than that, we be barren!!!

**Brent and KEV…**Eeyore and Tinkerbell!!! [tup][tup][:D]

Wifey called on her way to White Plains NY, can’t get gas in Connecticut because of power outages. I topped off her car this morning. If she would drive a tad more sedately she could have made it down and then at least back to Taxachusetts before having to refuel. Told her she had better refuel wherever she can in White Plains or she won’t make it home tomorrow night! Hmmmmmm…that’s a thought.[swg] [(-D]

Off to happy nappy land.

Jack

Brutus,

I have had my Dockside apart way tooooo many times and I will tell you there is not much room in there. Good luck with that. The only thing with less room I have is the Plymouth Switcher. [:O]

Night Guys

Good Evening.

It has been dull and dribbly here all day…only got to 40F …here in the mighty burg of dribbleville…tomorrow I will be heading in to get this latest session done and away with…
