The boys from the dealer came out yesterday to check out the UD. Said they would cut me a check for 4K straight up. Sounds good to me. Just got to get the title in the right name.

Good morning. It’s 65° with 99% humidity. It’ll be cloudy with showers likely. The high will be 82°.
Shopping will be the prime activity today. I need to do the first half of the grocery shopping as the cupboards are somewhat bare. I also need to get more gauze pads and tape for my foot. I may work on the layout later today.

I keep track on the pot by writing down the page number and the last poster I have read. When I go on again I start there. In April we had 75 pages. I remember 77 pages, there may have been more. But thats not accurate as some posts are long and some short, so if we had a whole month of short posts after short posts there obviously would be many posts. The main thing is be grateful that the forum is active.
S.J., all that talk about grits is making me hungry. I used to eat em growing up but haven’t had any for a long time account I married a Yankee. However, I do eat cream of rice once in a while which kind of looks like grits but is smoother. It still sticks to the pan though when dry. Grits are good with something on them like butter, cheese, etc.
V8, don’t know about any brush fire in Glendora. There was one the other day near Monrovia which is West of us. They put it out before it got into the foothills.
May trivia, in the circus world a new performer is called the first of May.
My son who just returned from the East has been talked into going on Facebook by our relatives. They are all trying it out now. I’m not ready to jump in myself yet. I spend too much time on the computer as it is.
I have been wading through all the photos taken by my son back East. Nice to see some spots where I grew up. A lot different now with passing years but some things remain. A picture of the house where I grew up brought a tinge of emotion. House belongs to someone else now.
I guess his honor, the Chief is still camped out at the lake house. No post yet today.
Saw a movie “My Cousin Viney” on TV. Funny flick about amateur lawyer from New York who has to defend his cousin in a Southern court. Very funny. He also discovers grits while down there.
