Hope everyone has a great holiday and an outstanding month.

Good Morning

We got the 60% shower showering us with that ol’ 60% right now. Supposed to be this way until Friday now–High today will be 19C and the low will be 13C.

It’s CANADA DAY and so I’m off—to do work in the basement-----

Have a good one, folks[:D]

Thanks Mr. Eagles for starting up another Pot thread for the month.

Almost caught up on all the sleep I lost last week while on the road. Trying to think about next year when I do my solo ride from coast to coast. I might ship the bike to CA and fly out and then just point it east for two+ weeks, this project will make for great winter time planning.

The train room is sparkling, I guess having an open house this coming Sunday really ignites the fires, I just wish I knew how many folks will show up. I do have one question posted elsewhere for adding an engine (MTH).

Superior weather in the Heartlands this week, moderate temps with NO humidity, WONDERFUL [tup]

Chief - Thanks for the Star Spangled edition.

b-cyl - I shall partake of a MOLSON in your honor…[swg]

Good Morning

Overcast but still no rain. 70 today.

I have a few errands to run, then I can goof off.

TTFN…S.J.

Here we go again, new thread for the month? SHEEES. This does get my goat. Just got done writing on old thread.

Good Morning from wet Southern Ohio

A fresh pot!

A little rain this morning. Hopefully it will dry up long enough to work on the truck in preparation for the truck camper. Going to install the tie down system and air bags for the rear suspension. All systems are go. I really like the camper.

Pat - Take care of the leg.

Prayers for all those we hold near and dear

May God bless

Jim

Aloha all. Coldest July 1st in memory. First time I’ve worn a coat to work. Fife, I enjoyed re-reading about your layout last eve on the Tardis home - gave my issue to a conductor friend at the last stop. Amazing how simple looks so much better. Mike C, same situation here in state and local gov’t. Should be interesting to see where IRL goes. Bought my tools to work to go hang pictures and rip out a cabinet in our old space.

Good morning all,

No changes in the weather. Just wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to post on the first page of a new ‘pot’. I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Found this on one of my lists. Looks like Lionel was right with its giraffe car.

Laz - I read the last of Pot #8 so I am current with your, and everyone’s, posts. Thanks for your, and everyone’s, support.

Dennis - Thanks for the additional advice.

Mike C. and Brutus - That wasn’t me getting friendly with Don B.'s “neighbor”. It was one of my clones. At least that is what I tell my wife (not sure she believes it ).

RT - Probably better than having my head sticking out the window.

Well last night the deer got most of the blueberries that were ready to pick. My “radio deer control system” didn’t work. The station drifted off and was quite.

This fall we may move the blueberries close to the garden and build a permanent electric deer fence around the whole thing. We use a temporary electric fence around the garden now that works most of the time.

Today’s Wise Farmer saying: Every path has a few puddles.

Pat

With all the discussion about MY neighbor, thought I better give an update. In the past two months she has “moved out” on at least two occassions, but ends up back within a week or so. The pickup trucks aren’t coming around so much anymore, there are instead a limo and SUV that park a block or so away and people walk up. The Mercedes that parked in the driveway has disappeared. The strobe lights have been off most of the time. But occassionally will still hear some hammering going on. I also noticed that they have put up an outside light, which is on an extension pole, (maybe a Tardis signal?)

Then last night !!! Need to get the Tardis in for some maintenance, with all the commotion Patrick created, there are pieces of shatter proof glass all over the place! Bushes have been trampled, and other neighbors talking about all the “Mooing” heard all night long. And a lot of neighborly tension! Wonder if this had anything to do with it…

Pat,

Sorry to hear about your recent health issues. Hope you are okay.

Fife,

I have to remember not to push too hard the next time I am under a car. It was exciting though. I am just glad the Probe wasn’t on that side of the driveway! That would have really hurt.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill…

It is a cloudy 68 degrees. Only going up to 72 today with showers in the forecast.

Today is busy. Wife went grocery shopping. I have a few chores around the house. Then we put groceries away. Cry at the food bill. Gas is at $2.65 a gallon. Still too high for the price of oil.

Dining car was here and we had the usual for breakfast.

Y’all have a great Wednesday.

Chuck

Just home the friendly Dentist, I think I just made his mortgage payment this month – new crown, temp one is in now. This is the first one I’ve ever had, will be glad when the numbness goes away otherwise someone might think I’m from Roseyville with the minor drooling and slurring of words [(-D] Thank goodness we have dental insurance but I still have to come up with a good chunk of change

Doug – when I stopped for gas before I came home the guy next to me was wearing his sweatshirt and I gotta tell you I was chilly wearing a polo shirt with shorts, such weather.

Chuck – gas was $2.27 here, I just don’t understand why there is such a big difference. I would imagine in IL it’s probably close to $3.00.

Time to get back downstairs and get my act together for the weekend and decide which trains to have running [tup]

Hello all,

Just a quick sip. So much to do so little time.

Weather is really cool here also, sure don’t help the crops any.

Did run trains for the grand daughter a little while the other day.

Pat, take care of the leg

Brutus, take care of the Mrs.

Prayers for all who need them

$2.27 is so cheap! $2.90 here in cold, drizzly Illinois. $3.03 in Honolulu…Rats, after fixing up the new office, now I got to take it apart so they can replace the windows…

Mornin’ All…

Beginning to wake up a bit, how in the world can going to the museum to run trains be so exhausting. Hate to wish for the white fluffy stuff for you guys up north but I’ll be very happy when summer is over and the club members are all back from vacations for normal staffing needs.

Had a rail break on a turnout yesterday, those Y6b’s can sure create a lot of sparks when they straddle several tracks. [oops] Fortunately nothing was permanently damaged, just clean-up the rail and ties and a bit of epoxy all is well with the world. Now to order a replacement/back-up turnout, repaired section is fully functional but for how long.

Hope you guys won’t be in need of any new car repair parts for awhile. The wife’s PT Cruiser has a headlight/foglight switch going bad and there are currently no replacement parts available. As a result of the shutdown existing inventories were depleted and new inventories of parts are TBA, national backorder with no delivery dates.

Almost finished re-assembling my 4th of July train, mostly the same as last years with a few additions & some minor changes.

Pat, Isn’t that commercially produced “Coyote Urine” stuff supposed to keep deer away.

[angel] for those in need. [tup]

Seems like there was something else, but I forgot. [%-)] CRSS strikes again, Can’t R

JUST GOT A URGENT CALL FROM THE CHIEF…

THINGS ARE “HOPPIN’ IN ROSYVILLE !!” A KANGAROO IS LOOSE IN THE CITY, HE IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE. CHIEF IS LOCKED UP IN THE STRATEGIC PLANNING GROUP, TRYING TO DETERMINE COURSE OF ACTION.

(couldn’t make this up!)

As much as you would try, that would be difficult to come up with.

Not sure when I’ll be able to stop laughing!

JT - They keep me employed and in my 17+ years I’ve found it is people that are more difficult than computers… they THINK they tell you what they want, but they only tell you 25% of the story and expect you to figure out the other 75% and when you’ve figured it out, they change their 25%! [banghead]
