Andre.
Andre,
I do not know about ‘cold solvent’ ,
But to clean my trains I use a small paint brush for dust.
If its dirty I’ll first use the paint brush dipped in warm water.
If this does not work I will use a little mild dishwashing detergent.
Hope that helps.
Hi Pat
Thanks for replay.
The cold solvent is for clean grease and oil and the special thing is that don’t demage electric components.
Thanks in advance.
Andre.
From this
http://www.epa.state.il.us/air/fact-sheets/cold-cleaning-revisions.html
it seems that mineral spirits would qualify as a cold solvent.
Tha problem is that mineral spirit can demage the coil varnish.
I remember that cold solven was used for clean electronic board, and electric motors.
this component clean all old oil and grease, rest of gum or wax.
may be they stop to make due ozone layer problems. I used cold solvent (spartan product) 12 years ago.
Thanks.
Andre.
Hi I found

Thanks to everybody.
Andre.
Andre,
For cleaning electronic parts you may want to try Denatured Alcohol or
‘Electronic parts cleaner’ sold in spray cans and available at stores such as Radio Shack or Fry’s. Also called TV tuner cleaner.
Tuner cleaner or electronic parts cleaner can also be found at most hardware stores and home improvement stores.
