Coleman Fuel & Oil Co. (pics)

Good morning all seems like it ought to be about 11 AM. Here are some pics I took yesterday of the Oil & fuel dist. on my layout.

This is just an overview of the opperation.

In this pic if you look closley you can see some interior details. The wimdows are sorta small.

This is looking twards the south twards Cassidy Grain Co. & the Fillmore estate on the hill.

This one came out kinda neet. It is looking east across the layout. It was taken almost level so you cannot see the island the middle, just the trees and clouds on the other side of the layout.
I would like yout comments on this, it seems to me that it needs something, to much bare area. What do you think? Thanks for any input. Mike

Great work Mike… I wouldn’t change a thing. Actually maybe place some trash around, but that is about it. Peter

Don’t change anything! Less is more.

Thanks for sharing Mike.

I have a coal, fuel oil and propane dealer planned for my layout (mid-'50’s era). It will be located near one of the yard areas and in contrast will not be paved but have a lot of cinders, mud and weeds.

Your model is obviously set in modern times and the “clean” look seems appropriate. A little junk and maybe some stains on the concrete at the loading areas, and “traffic” marks from the trucks would look good.

How did you make the chain link fence and gates? Great job, Mike.

Chuck

DON’T CHANGE ANYTHING!!! Great work. Saw some of your work ups and the finished product is great.[:D] Take a [bow] Its given me a idea for my refinery!!
