Colfax Railroad Museum leads equipment preservation effort
Well, better late than never, but this isn’t the first time a collector has “weirded out” and acted like he was going to take it all with him when it was his time to go, to the detriment of the artifacts.
The lesson here to all collectors, whatever your passion, is don’t hold onto the stuff forever. Be realistic. Don’t leave your next-of-kin with a headache instead of an inheritance.
I drove past the site in Annandale, MN several times and always wondered what it was. Glad to see that these pieces of history have found good homes.
