I just found a huge revolving display case for zippo lighters and think its too small for a 18" radius, but may be ok to put some trains inside
did you make a display case or buy a cool one

I’ve finished it, but don’t have a recent pic yet on the website…this will give you an idea. It has smoked glass hinged doors now, and it’s mounted on the table underneath.

Great idea using that Zippo case Mr. Budliner…is it a motorized one or one with the spin knob on top?
All my cool cases have cars in them…for now. Some are store display cases given to me, others were modified to fit the room.
The two cases on top were watch display’s at one time. “Casio” and “Fossil”.
Looks like you have the same cars as I do in the large bottom case. I had better go up into the attic and check to see if my Matchbox collection is missing. [:O] I am just kidding.
That is a very nice display. Someday I should do the same.
Do you have the steer-able Mustang? I always thought the lever on the side was funny. What are cars from that era worth?

I’ve got 3 steerable mustangs. 2 extra I don’t need. They are generally worth (depending on condition) anywhere from 10 to 50 dollars a piece. Most are between 10 and 20 bucks. And thats if they are in excellent condition. NO chips or obvious wear and tear. I got all mine from Ebay. I’m done for now. I wanted the 75 cars from 1968 and got all those. I’ve got others as well that I liked. I only bought them because I used to play with them as a kid quite a bit. My own cars I played with as a kid are too badly used and abused to showcase [:)]
I bought mine,It’s a big lighted display case.
to be honest I will have to remember this thread when i get mine finished (after the christmas layout is done). Its basically built just had no lights installed yet or the outter shell. It also doubles as a part of my layout ontop.
Thats very nice. Its like looking at a store train display. Best thing about it is its ALL YOURS!

I guess mine wont hold as meny, but I see a moving scenic display, with the train’s standing still, and rolling hills, if that makes sence

Nice…I think the LED’s will look great in there. I took a pic of the finished case mounted to the layout and I’ll get it posted on the website soon…
I beleve I got it free as the motor is making a slite humming noise
