Color for a UP steel cupola caboose

I bought an old kit of a Union Pacific caboose. It is painted yellow with radish lettering. My question is should the top of the caboose be painted red.? I looked at the UP sight and they are all over the place. Some with and some without.

If so what color. Is it the same as the lettering or something darker? Also would the roof walks be red or black or what?

I’m an n scaler and the tops of my cabooses are red. As best that I can tell the paint on the roof is a bit darker than the lettering on the sides…

Thanks, I’m going to take the model to hobby lobby and try to find a color a little darker than the lettering for the roof .
