The comments confirm my expectations about snow in mountain valleys, like ‘Georgetown’.

What Mike wrote appears to be true when you look via ‘Google’ (free version) but I need to look deeper as my modelling period will be between 1950 and 1975.

Mark … ‘a grump’ … must be a nice grump, very useful web-sites, and done for all to read.

Unless Pueblo is a point of interest, it’s quicker and shorter to hang a left at 115?, 118?, at Canon City, and cut the corner to Colorado Springs on your way back to Denver.

Prettier too.

As long as you’er going to be poking around Salida, look up “Alpine Tunnel” online, and see if any of the results tweak your interest.
