I want to use Led for indication of switch position. Is it possible with lenz Ls 150 decoder?
If you’re using Tortoise or similar stall motor switch machines that have constant voltage on them, yes, the LED can be wired into the motor circuit. If you’re using twin coil switch machines that only get a short burst of electricity to change the turnout, you will need to add some type of relay to the circuit for each LED, but doing that is too complicated to explain here.
The Ls150 decoder does not have constant voltage only up to 10 sec pulse. That’s why i am asking. Is there any adress in the internet where are such information?
You’d have to use a latching relay as is often mentioned with using LEDs with twin-coil switch motors, only instead of the pushbutton and power supply you have the lines coming from the LS-150, and the relay contacts would control the Tortoise and the LEDs.
