Over a decade ago, I purchased three cars from the now-defunct E&B Valley, with Carstens livery.
I built one for a friend and another for myself.
The third is still in kit form.
I first built it and then decided to detail it, adding a basic interior using available materials.
The partitions and floor were made from flat transparent packaging, the seats from balsa wood, and the figures from Preiser.
For the vestibule, I used a computer-printed image of non-slip sheeting obtained online.

I know it’s been mentioned several times, but I’ll repeat it – I never realized there were so many of these special model runs. It’s very interesting to see each one.

What does “GP&W” stand for?
Closest I come is “Great Plains & Western”, but it’s excruciating to try to find anything with LLMs “helpfully” correcting your queries to be about things involving Green Bay or the Great Plains. Likewise searching on any logical permutation of the ‘organization’ name now produces nothing meaningful in the first few pages – they all jump immediately on ‘Genealogical’ whether or not you restrict the search. Bah humbug!
Thank you for thinking about “GP&W”.
When I got hold of this model in 2019 and researched it, I discovered that the area west of Phoenix was called “West Valley,” which I believe was the origin of the society’s name. I think I also discovered its location in Surprise, Arizona at that time. Looking through magazines, I found that the society seemed to frequently hold swap meets in Glendale. Now they are a mysterious group.
