Commercial Source for Transformer Rehab?

I have a "new " used transformer…fairly ancient…is there a firm to check it out and \or repair it before I plug it in and fry it? The cords are more brittle…its probably safe to assume it’s innards are equally crisp…while the case is like new…

The condition of the cord usually has little to do with the condition of the rest.

What model/type is it?

I’ve used these guys for parts and service. They’re really good and very reasonable.

Thanks for the info…I didnt want to guess or fudge a repair.

DEFINITELY use the link that Kool provided. The owner (Davis Lyons) knows his stuff and is a great guy to do business with. He stands behind every repair and guarantees 100% satisfaction. You will not be disappointed. I have two transformers I bought off E-Bay and they are both going to eventually go to him for a full rehab. He is the BEST. I have a ZW that he rebuilt to better-than-new condition.
