Communications and Signals: Then and Now (Video)

While perusing Youtube, I came across this old (2012) video about railroad communication and signals. It’s not an in-depth video but more of a brief explaination of the subject matter. The video also touches a little on hump yards, car detection, hot box detection and other neat and interesting items.

It was nice of NS to do this kind of video and put out there for the public.

There were some interesting clips in that video. The narrator was reading from a script that was well below camera level. As it was an official NS video, that was bad.

The narration reminded me of company safety videos and their bad acting [(-D]. I still enjoyed the content.
