Has anyone here, by chance, made the Walther’s Milwaukee Station work on their small to medium sized layout by elevating it, or split leveling it? I have a ridge of about 5" running directly behind and above a small depot area much like Jacon’s pic in his thead about station areas if that helps. It’s not likely I can get this kit to fit and look appropriate (will try cardboard mock ups) but thought with all of the yankee ingenuity (and non-yankee) on this board hoped someone just might have done something along these lines and have some pics. Thanks.
Well Model Railway News had a cover story / review of the station in the February issue. The reviewer built the station for IIRC his club’s layout, and elevated the station so tracks could run under it.

Hey, thanks Stix! That was perfect and should reveal all! I have no access to that magazine but I went to an operations session today and our host subscribes. Wow! It’ sure is easy to delude oneself with just a tape measure. I built up a cardboard mock up and that sucker is even huge-r than I thought! I’ll play around with ideas and see if it’s even remotely possible to make it work on my layout. I really appreciate the heads up! Capt. G.
