Received my M10000 a couple of weeks ago. Very nice. Awaiting DCC sound install. Bruce at Litchfield Station already has pictures of a Loksound (Winton Engine I think) install on his website. tj
THIS IS AN AWESOME MODEL. HAVE INSTALLED A SOUND SYSTEM WITH THE SMALLEST SOUNDTRAX OVAL SPEAKER. NOW IT EVEN SOUNDS AWESOME! ONE NOTE HOWEVER ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE; CONNECTING THE CARS MORE THAN TWICE CAN BE SOMEWHAT DIFFICULT AS FAR AS LINING UP EASILY. THE AERO TRAIN SYSTEM WORKS MUCH BETTER. VERY COOL PRODUCT. My M-10000 arrived several weeks ago and I was impressed with the quality of the model. I also have the Aerotrain and the M-10000 is a great companion.
I was in error on the “star” rating on this model in my prior post, it should have read 5 stars.
The color of Leaf Brown seems very dark compared to the color artwork of the era. I have not seen an actual color photo of this paint scheme to judge against. What do others think of it?
I used a NCE N12SR for the drive and a Digitrax Sound Bug for sound. I altered a small oval speaker to fit. Runs and sounds great.
