I bought some Con Cor passenger cars that had truck mounted couplers.
I converted the couplers to body mounted couplers and then replaced the plastic trucks with Walthers metal trucks.
The problem that I encountered with replacing the trucks was that the plastic trucks were held in place with plastic push pins. So, I tried to mount the new metal trucks by first gluing a piece of plastic on the underside of the car body as a mount for the metal trucks to be screwed into. So far, so good. But, I didn’t do a good job of leveling the mounts so the cars are unsteady as they roll down the track.
How have others dealt with the problem of replacing the trucks on the Con Cor passenger cars?
