Hi everybody, I only have one question and I want your help
What’s the difference between Woodland Scenics C1217 Earth Color Concrete and Woodland Scenics and ST1454 Concrete Top Coat ? I want to make roads in my 4x8 layout and I already have the C1217 and I want to know if I can use it with “Smooth it” to create my roads
btw have you received the july MRR issue?
I don’t use the products you are asking about, so can’t comment.
However, I did receive my July issue of MR.
I took the small bottle of WS Aged Concrete paint to Lowe’s and had them make me a quart of it using flat latex base.
Just for the record, my July MR is received, read, and filed already (got it on Memorial Day weekend).
Looking at the WS website, I don’t see any real difference between the two products. The C1217, as you know, is a water-based pigment for plasters. Since the “Smooth It” is essentially fine plaster, I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.
Unless someone else can answer your question definitively, I would make a sample patch with the Smooth-It and try staining it with the C1217 and see if you like the results.
